The Titan ZG 26EI including a 2600 mAh LiIon ignition battery weighs 82 g less then the ZG 26SC with magneto ignition.
Ideal power source is a LiIon cell (3,6V) having a capacity of 2600 mAh, alternatively a 3,6V (3 cells) NiMH or NiCd battery can be used. The ignition and Hall sensor can operate down to 3.0 volts.
For small glider tugs such as the “Big Lift” the Titan ZG 26EI is ideal. It uses a liter fuel for about an hours towing. The fuel can be bought cheaply at the petrol station even on Sundays.
Best two stroke mix is lead free petrol and BEL-RAY H1R at a ratio of 1:50. You need neither starter or glow battery. Due to the built-in pump you can place the tank where you wish. Unlike with Methanol fuels corrosion is no problem at all.
Recommended propellers are the 18×6″, 18×8″, 17×8″ and the 17×10″ Fiala and the Super Silence 2 blade CF-props 18×8″ Pro, 17×12″ and 18×11″.
The Titan ZG 26EI is supplied complete with ignition unit, silencer, intake tube and aluminum motor mounting plate. The battery and the ignition switch are not included.
Image: In order to obtain a quiet engine you must not forget to do something to reduce the considerable intake noise. For model aircraft the simplest and most effective method is to draw the intake air from inside the fuselage. Our carburetor intake bend is shown here on a Titan ZG 26SC, of course it will also fit the ZG 26EI.
