In order to obtain a quiet engine you must not forget to do something
to reduce the considerable intake noise. For model aircraft the simplest
and most effective method is to draw the intake air from inside the fuselage.
The intake bend is supplied with screws, gasket and heat insulator. |
| To fit the carburettor to this bend, the fuel nipple must be turned in the carburettor body. This nipple consists of a brass core with a toothed edge over which is injection moulded a plastic spout. You try to turn this nipple with pliers and the plastic is forced to expand over the toothing making the nipple useless as it will only leak. To avoid any trouble send us your carburetor with your order and we will do this tricky nipple turning for you. |  |

No extra formers are required to instal the tunnel. It is an epoxy glass sandwich construction using 1,5 mm Balsa between. Tunnel length is 1 m, inside diameter is 75 mm. The tuned pipes of the ZG 38, ZG 45, ZG 62, ZG 74 and ZG 80 fits perfectly into the tunnel. The GRP epoxy glass tunnel outlet is made long enough, so that it can be trimmed to fit any model. Ideal for dry rubbing down painted surfaces. Rounded surfaces are very easy to clean up with the very pliant SIASOFT. Same goes for Balsa and hardwood surfaces. The SIASOFT lays perfectly in the hand due to the foam backing. The edges of CNC milled plywood are quickly and easily cleaned up with SIASOFT. Heat shrink tubing 3:1 |

We use this heat shrink tube in the production of our Easy-Start unit. It is high quality Polyolefin heat shrink tube made to the military specification MIL-I-23053/5 class 3 (exept the transparent tube). Shrinkage ratio is 3:1. It remains flexible and shrinks at 100 °C. Ideal for insulating the relatively delicate servo cables. |
