Especially notable on this recently developed massive cylinder are the large cooling fins and greatly increased Schnuerle porting.
The Zenoah G230RC is with a wide margin the most powerful series produced engine in its class. The enormous torque spread over a very wide rpm is the very good reason why this engine in its first season won outright the European trophy 2001.
Moreover this engine swept the board at the first IFMAR 1:5 World Championships at Ettlingen in 2001. First six places went to G230RC powered cars, hardly any wonder as 90% of all the cars there were fitted with this powerhouse.
In spite of its very robust construction, the G230RC is 10% lighter than its predecessor the G2D96-D. With the new Walbro carburettor fitted with a choke, it is easy to regulate and runs surprisingly smoothly.
