The very small crankcase volume plus the four intake flutter valves are the reason for the DA-50R's high power and fast throttle response.

The carburetor on this early version DA-50R is fitted the other way round. Now standard and better is the 180 degrees rotated version shown in the picture before.

The piston, conrod and crankshaft design were perfectly balanced and harmonized to each other with a computer simulation program.

Each crankcase is CNC machined from the solid, using high strength aircraft alloy 7075-T6.

In spite of only one crankshaft balance weight, the vibration levels are extremely low.
This is due to the very light piston and the special DA-designed steel conrod with lightening cutouts.
